It’s that time of year again folks! The Inverness Street Theatre festival is back with exciting impromptu and al fresco performances taking place across the City in the Highlands!

Running for three days, at various venues throughout the city centre, the  Inverness Street Theatre Festival  will host a range of weird, whacky and wonderful performers who will surprise and delight the whole family.

Granny Turismo

Returning for their third year are the ever popular Granny Turismo: the world’s first and only Formation Shopping Trolley Dance Team who will be speeding around on their souped up shoppers, as well as other festival favourite Big Rory and Ochie: a nine-foot loveable rascal and his wayward mongrel.

For the first year ever the Inverness Street Theatre Festival will welcome The Balloonatic: a superhero of silliness travelling around the world in a red balloon on a mission to connect with the child inside everyone through the medium of play and laughter.

Visitors to the city’s streets today (October 10th) tomorrow (October 11th) and Saturday should also look out for Maynard Flip Flap:  a daft character whole flips eggs in the air and attempts to catch them on his head, The Flying Butresses: a pair of wonderful wanderers from the proud country of Oblivia and Jason Maverick: Street Juggler Extraordinaire.

Sharp eyed Invernessians and visitors may also spot members of the Urban Safari, whose creative creatures make their homes in the concrete jungle of the city in the Highlands.
