INVERNESS is playing host to key players in the creative industries this week as goNORTH 2013 festival kicks off here in the heart of the Highlands.

Organisers of the two day event expect movers and shakers in artistic industries to flock to the city for a programme of showcases and workshops designed to connect new talents with industry insiders with the aim of creating exciting new artistic output.

Inverness Offers Advice for Aspiring Creatives

The festival will be providing exposure and advice for a range of aspiring creatives, including those wishing to work in:

  • Music
  • Broadcasting
  • Filmmaking
  • Fashion
  • Gaming

With a packed programme of showcases, screenings and workshop sessions taking place across Inverness on June 5th and 6th,  goNORTH aims to inspire aspiring creatives to actively seek out a career in their chosen industry.

goNORTH director Amanda Millen explained: “Even for those already working in the music business and film and broadcast industries, it can be a maze to navigate, which is where goNORTH comes in.

“The goNORTH festival is really the epicentre of a rolling year-long programme that gives a helping hand to aspiring writers, producers, directors, musicians and those behind the scenes in the music business.”
